Grade 12 “Law in Action” Trip
On Wednesday, March 30th, students enrolled in Grade 12 Law traveled downtown for Crestwood’s annual “Law in Action” field trip. Spring Sports Starting
The Spring sports season will get fired up next week with workouts scheduled for both U12 Softball and the Junior Track and Field. The U12 Co-Ed Softball team tryouts begin on Monday and will run from 3:40 – 4:40PM. Students are asked to arrive with glove, hat, and appropriate footwear (cleats and/or sneakers) and clothing.
Kidney Foundation Read-a-thon
Dear Parents, Crestwood is holding a Read-A-Thon to raise money for The Kidney Foundation of Canada, and we need your child’s help! This is a charity that is close to our hearts. In 2009, July Dorland, a student at Crestwood, was suffering from kidney disease. In need of a new kidney, her father was found to be a match.

The Art Room has been a buzz with ideas, debates, colours and creativity. All of the students, from grades 3 to 7 have been working hard to prepare beautiful pieces for our upcoming Art Show. Royal Canadian Legion
Crestwood students again took part in the Royal Canadian Legion’s annual Poem/Poster/Literary Contest this past Remembrance Day. The contest was run through Branch 345 on Peard Road, where many students took prizes, and four students went on to the Zone Level –contest at the Salome Road branch. Grade 10 Intragrade Debating Championships
On Thursday at lunch, the debating season at Crestwood finished with the crowning of the Grade 10 Intragrade Debating Champions. The resolution debated was “Be it resolved that a picture is worth a thousand words.” On the government side were Carol Li and Carol Gu, and arguing for the opposition were Ivy Liu and Spencer Arshinoff.
