A long trip down to Cherry Beach after dropping off the Girls Basketball team at Montcrest School left the U12 Traditional team feeling a little lethargic. Missing two of our strong players the boys attempted to adapt to some new positions and a large, fast artificial pitch. After a battling first half Crestwood found themselves a goal down and not playing with any fluidity. The game did not improve much in the second as the ball continuously changed possession as it was kicked aimlessly around the field by both teams. Patrick in goal kept Crestwood in the game with some fantastic saves. Crestwood could not convert the few chances they had at the other end and fell to their first defeat of the season 2 – 0.
With only one game remaining of the regular season and a record of 4 and 1 Crestwood remain confident of success in their upcoming end of season tournament.
