The U10 Basketball team rolled into King City like a group of storm chasers yesterday to tip off against the C.D.S. Cyclones. With an unprecedented level of teamwork and determination, the team took an early 6 -0 lead with baskets from Yusuf L. and Damian M. The Cyclones lived up to their name and stormed right back tying the game at 6 going into halftime.
After halftime and two big baskets from Farnood T. including one from way downtown, the score fluctuated back and forth all the way up to a 10 to 10 tie going into the second last shift. Kevin X., Ben A., Nicholas B. and Quinn H. helped shut down the Cyclones final scoring chances with some tight defence. Without skipping a beat Liam T. turned up the heat and scored a few more baskets solidifying the final score and the team’s first win 18 – 10.
