WOW! What an exciting Tuesday afternoon of Volleyball as the Crestwood U12 Girls continued their undefeated season by sweeping St. Clements 3 games straight! The ladies were cheered on buy a huge home crowd as the girls poured their hearts into each serve, creating some thrilling moments. Our ‘Vegas Line’ (hard line spiking) was unstoppable…but it was the ‘Stuffed Turkey’ that sent the crowd into an uproar. A Stuffed Turkey in volleyball occurs when a successful block takes place, and the ball lands back on the opposing court before the opposing player lands back on their feet! Between the constant ‘Kill-shots’ and our newly developed “Crab Defence”, the girls were a force to be reckoned with!
Join us next Monday, January 25th for an exciting DOUBLE HEADER beginning at 3:15 pm at the GLENDON GYM! The girls will be playing Pickering College followed by Crestwood Prep School.
During practice this week, the girls will be learning another strategic play, seldom seen on a Volleyball Court…. “The Deep Dish Chicago Style Pizza”.
