Dear Parents,

As we “ZOOM” through May, we can’t believe we are nearing the end of the year. The hot, sunny weather this week made it feel like summer is just around the corner! We hope everyone is finding ways to stay positive and looking for things to be grateful for. The news in Ontario is starting to give us a glimmer of hope of a return to normalcy in the not too distant future. Thank you for your continued support and encouragement during these challenging times.

Thanks for your support of our Jump Rope for Heart Fundraiser. We have currently raised just over $800. We would love to reach our fundraising goal of $2000. Please consider supporting this worthwhile cause, while encouraging your child to participate in all the fun skipping challenges and activities posted on Edsby. We are loving the supportive and encouraging “chatter” on our Jump Rope for Heart Edsby page. Keep it up, everyone!

You can find donate on Crestwood’s fundraising page here:

Or you can click on “Join School” and set your child up as a student fundraiser as part of Crestwood School’s efforts.

The visits with Mrs. Liebenthal this week in the Primary Division were all about sharing and compromise. Sometimes being too stubborn about something leads to one losing everything, but compromising so that everyone gets a bit of what they want, proves to be the better option for a more harmonious outcome.

We had some wonderful poetry coming out of our Fill Up with Mrs. Fuller sessions. Please ask your child to share what they are grateful for inside themselves. Expressing gratitude to ourselves and others can be a powerful tool to increase our level of happiness.

A reminder to continue to follow public health guidelines throughout the long weekend. We hope you enjoy some relaxation time with the members of your household and we look forward to welcoming students back on ZOOM on Tuesday.
