Sports Update

Our winter sports are starting to wrap up! Find out more about past games and upcoming events!

U14 Girls Volleyball

This week the U14 Girls Volleyball team traveled to TMS for their last game of the season.  After a tough loss in the first set, the girls turned it around with ace serves to win the second.  In a nail biting third set, the Lions came back from being behind 5 points to make the score 24-24. Unfortunately, after two great hits from TMS, the lions went home with a loss.  That being said, the girls played their best game yet and the entire team should be very proud of how far they have come this season!

Senior Girls Volleyball

This week, the Senior Girls’ Volleyball team hosted their final home game of the season against TMS.  The girls started off strong to win the first 2 sets against a hard hitting TMS team. Unfortunately, TMS came back to take the next three sets for the victory. Despite the loss, the girls showed great teamwork and communication throughout all five sets to make Dr. K and Ms. Hann proud of their efforts. Well done girls!

Curling

The Varsity Boys Curling team wrapped up their 2015-2016 season last night at Donalda. While the results did not always go in their favour, the Boys had a fantastic year on the ice, and made the school and their coach proud with their hard work, positive attitudes, and sportsmanship.

Playing at Lead, Spencer  Arshinoff could be counted on for excellent guards and horrible puns. At Second, Gaby Croituru was the master of the takeout. Adam Golden brought in the noise, as well as the funk at Vice. And at skip, Matthew Holland was a fantastic leader and captain, leading the boys into battle like William Wallace in Braveheart.

They may have taken our season, boys. But they will never take our freedom. Next Season starts in 8 months. Hurry hard.

Also, the Open Team won last night. Great game, Daven, Hyeun Jun and Bowen!
