Hackergal is a charitable organization that inspires girls across Canada to explore the opportunities in code. With women vastly underrepresented in the tech industry, Hackergal strives to inspire a new wave of Canadian female coders to bring equality to the booming industry.
Crestwood’s first time participating in the annual Hackergal competition. Girls from grades 7-9 will got together to solve problems by programming. Also, we had a guest speaker Yanmei Zhuo, who is the director of advanced analytics at @cibc, gave a presentation to inspire the girls to pursue STEM as a future career.
