Mrs. Winograd’s Grade 7 English Roots classes have recently been engaged in Fishbowl Discussions as a part of their study of Wonder by R.J. Palacio. These types of discussions teach students how to have thoughtful conversations; how to ask open-ended questions; how to appreciate other students’ ideas and how to put their own ideas on the table.
