The Crestwood U12 soccer squad took the lead against Country Day from a free kick in the first half and both sides created quality scoring chances. The score remained 1-0 thanks to the CDS goal frame and some fine saves from the Crestwood School goalkeeper. With many substitutions made during the second half the team found it difficult to maintain any cohesion and rhythm. Crestwood clung to their narrow 1-0 lead until the final five minutes of the game. CDS continued to pressure and popped two late goals giving the visitors their deserved victory.
The large Crestwood School soccer squad will need to regroup for their upcoming trip to Pickering on Monday.
