Wednesday’s tilt was a very close call but our U10 Soccer team defeated Country Day School in a 6-5 thriller!!! Adam Pearlman continued to be on force on fire as he accounted for all of our goals. Albert Abraham, Luke Tavone, and Maddy Greenburg made superb assists. Ben Shields and Dylan Wilkinson were amazing with their quick reflexes and great goalie instincts. They blocked out many of Country Day Schools attempted goals but of course both backstops were determined to keep CDS from scoring. Once again speedsters Molly Hektor, Charlotte Andersons, and Ella Cohen whizzed back and forth playing a strong forward and midfield position. Don’t let their size fool you, they are super fast and will go up against anyone who comes their way. Jievan Tapajna, Jordan Fischtein, and Tamara Nabulsi were awesome at stealing the ball away from CDS. Aaron Wong, Luke Evans, Kieran Tapajna, Myles Abitbol, and Raymond Liu were amazing support for their team as they were always ready and alert for anything that came their way.
Wowie, the U10 soccer team was FANTASTIC again on Thursday against UCC. It was a tie game 1-1 but the way we played made the coaches beam with pride. Your coaches loved seeing huge improvements and confidence in ALL of the players and want you to know how very proud we are. Keep up the great energy and great focus for upcoming games on Monday and Tuesday, practice on Wednesday, and our final game on Saturday. Embrace all that you have learned so far and continue to shine with continued confidence for another important week!!! GO U10 SOCCER TEAM GO!
