Transition into Grade 7 & 8 Information Session

Information Session at Crestwood Preparatory College for Lower School Grade Five and Six Families

We would like to invite you to an information session outlining the Transition into Grade 7 & 8 from the Lower School. Members of the administration and teachers will highlight components of the grade 7 & 8 programmes, the connections and implications on the Grade 9 programme and how we continue to provide support for all our students. The session will take place on Tuesday, November 29th, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. at Crestwood Preparatory College for Lower School parents of Grade Five and Six students.

The presentation will highlight the following:

· Academics and transitioning from the Lower School

· Co-curricular programs

· Reach Ahead Credits

· Mainstream, Roots and Advanced programs

· Peer mentors, tutors and modeling

· Individualized schedules

· Student Support Programs

The Grade 7 & 8 programme at the College will continue to provide our families with a unique, enriched and productive academic and co-curricular experience. Whether Mainstream, Roots, Partial Roots or Advanced, we are able to individualize a program to suit each child’s needs.

Grade 5 & 6 students have already had an opportunity to experience classes at the College. They themselves seem very eager to begin the program. They will have additional opportunities to visit in the spring for a track meet and in May for an orientation session.

Crestwood is dedicated to enriching our students lives. We communicate regularly and effectively with parents, assisting them in the overall education of their children. We also emphasize educating the “whole child”, making young people confident of their abilities and prospects and developing healthy positive relationships with peers.

The Transition into Grade 7 & 8 presentation is a great opportunity to become better acquainted with the College and our program.

Please RSVP via email to rsvp@crestwood.on.ca by November 28th, 2016.
