Terry Fox National School Run Day

On Friday Sept. 27th Crestwood will be participating in the Terry Fox National School Run Day. It is important that our community understands the significance of this event. We are running / walking in honour of a Canadian hero; we are running in honour of all those who have suffered and survived cancer; we are running for those who have lost their battle with cancer; and we are running for those who will face cancer in the future. Please take the time to collect donations from your family and friends to make a difference in cancer research in Canada. Donations forms are available in homeroom classes, or donations can be made online.

The Athletic Council would like to challenge all Crestwood students, teachers, families and friends to try and do what Terry Fox set out to do; travel the 7428 kilometers across Canada on foot. Next week we will begin the Crestwood Walks Across Canada Pedometer Challenge. All you have to do is purchase a pedometer and start moving. We will record participants progress on the large map of Canada posted outside the PE office. If any family members or friends would like to get involved please stop by the physical education office and pick up an information package.
