Terry Fox Colour Explosion School Run

We would like to thank everyone who participated, fundraised and donated to this year’s Crestwood Terry Fox School Run.  Together as a community we have raised $16,323.00, far exceeding our goal of $15,000.  Crestwood is proud to have been a top 10 school contributor to the Terry Fox Foundation for the past 5 years, and we expect with this event that this year will be no different.

On Friday we hosted our Terry Fox School run and it was also a huge success.  The entire student body met on the back field and walked together displaying stickers “Terry ran for me, I am running for….”  Students displayed the names of loved ones, friends, pets, and family members that have battled cancer, showing the impact of this terrible disease and why events like this are so important.
Following the walk we had a colour explosion race.  Students participated as individuals and on their fall athletic teams, and raced a 1.5km route.  Coming into the final stretch they were blasted with coloured powder and ran through colour bombs.  Check out the pictures attached to see the fun.
