Sports Roundup (Jan. 10th)

Over the holiday break, The Crestwood Junior Prep Boys Basketball team finished 3-1 at the 2nd National Junior Circuit session. The session was hosted at Turner Fenton Secondary School in Brampton by Excel Hoops. The boys defeated D’Youville, St. Martin and Father Henry Carr, but fell to the hosts Excel Hoops.

Mikkel Tyne earned two player of the game honours while averaging 25 points per game over the weekend. He was unguardable in transition as he consistently pushed the pace in every game. Matai Baptiste earned one player of the game honour and averaged 22 points per game, over 10 rebounds and had several high-flying dunks. Kailon Nicholls was a floor general on the way 13 points per game and a team high in assists. Other shout-outs to Jacob Tucci Mahon and Hayden John who provided big minutes off the bench.

The Lions now stand at 16-3 overall as they begin the second half of their season.
