Sports Round Up for the Week

The Lady Lions defeated Villanova College 64 to 25,  in their first home game of the season.  Honourable mentions go to Zakayla Day-Burrell who finished with 20 points, Jadaia Reid how finished with 19 and to the heavy hitter of the Lions’ Den, Tianna Bailey who controlled the pace of the game from start to finish.

The Boys Senior Soccer team played the first home game of the season vs the undefeated Bayview Glen team. Crestwood controlled the game with the majority of possession in the first half.  The boys didn’t let down and continued to control the game with sharp passes. Our goalie Tim Kufner stopped a one on one chance which ignited a great come back. CPC’s possession game paid off , and their fast paced transition plays had CPC scoring three goals to win the game.

Jr. Boys Volleyball team travelled to Holy Trinity School.  They worked hard and won the match in three straight sets. Great play by all.
Huge congratulations Aaliyah Edwards who earned a Silver medal yesterday with Canada’s Sr. Women’s National team.  After a great run, Canada fell to a star-studded USA team.  Aaliyah was only high school athlete to participate on this global stage.
The Varsity Cross Country team ran through mud and giant puddles while competing at the Sunnybrook High School Invitational meet, all the runners did well.
