Snow Day Policy and Attendance

It’s that time of year again. Parents and students need to be informed about school policy regarding days that either do, or seem to get, an inordinate amount of snow.

When snowfall is significant, and we think it would be too much for kids to travel to school, we will put an announcement on our website by 6:30 am. We will also have an announcement made on 680 News and, hopefully, one or two other radio stations. No other school or school board closing has any bearing on our decision. The Lower School, by virtue of its location, will probably need to close down more frequently than we do. Please, then, distinguish between a Lower School Snow closure and a Crestwood College or Upper School closure. The shuttle bus will also not be operating if the Lower School is closed. Please do not phone the school to ask if we’re open. If you haven’t heard or seen it, it’s business as close to usual as we can get.

If, after all is said and done, you personally determine it is indeed too much for your son or daughter to get to school, we respect your decision.

As usual, please contact the main office to confirm your son or daughter’s absence in one of the following ways:

1. Using your Edsby Account create a pre-planned absence. To learn how to complete this click on the video below:
