The Senior Wind Ensemble recently returned from an exciting trip to New York City where they participated in a Music Competition. The group performed beautifully and received a trophy for a First Place ranking and a rating of “Excellent”. Maxime Bernier received an individual trophy as one of the outstanding soloists on clarinet. It was the perfect culmination to a 5 day tour which included visits to Madison Square Garden, the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, the Museum of Modern Art, Rockefeller Center, the Birdland Jazz Club, Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum and two Broadway shows: “Matilda” and “Motown”.
