The grade 7 and 8 students in Physical Education classes have been working on adding mindfulness strategies and relaxation techniques to their toolbelt. Some of the techniques they have been working on are mindful minutes, breath work, progressive relation, and incorporating music into meditation. In such uncertain times, times Mental Health needs to be at the forefront, and providing these strategies could help our students increase focus, attention, self-control, anxiety, and relieve tension/stress.
