Every week 5B has different students report on some media they have found – we call them Media Reporters. This week, Cecile, Jack S., and Ryan W. each analyzed and presented a piece of media. We had a mix of videos, advertisements, and newspaper articles. We learned about Black History Month, new video games, and the issues facing polar bears that are related to the environment. The best part of being a Media Reporter in 5B is getting to create and ask your own discussion questions. You get to be the teacher and choose which hands you will answer as you lead the discussion. This is a great way for us to be critical of and analyze the media we encounter in our daily lives, and to practice presenting in front of and leading a discussion with our peers.
