Ms. Lee’s Math students explored the relationship between the number of faces, vertices and edges in 3-D shapes by creating a variety of polyhedrons using toothpicks and marshmallows. At the end of the activity, some groups made “epic” shapes to prove that the relationship still held true for more complex polyhedrons.
