Holiday of Hope: Gifts Due December 4th

Holiday of Hope is a community initiative we take part in to help the less fortunate in the community during the holiday season. This year we are working with Durham Children’s Aid and supporting 11 families in need. The Durham Children’s Aid Society is responsible for providing child protection services to children under the age of 16 and their families.

Most of the families have asked for gift cards to grocery stores so they can feed their families throughout the winter. They have also asked for holiday gifts for their kids. These families can benefit from the simplest things such as a grocery gift card, toothbrush, toothpaste and simple hygiene products. For many of these families, this is the only opportunity they will get to provide gifts for the children. The children in each family ranges from 1 to 12 years old. Each homeroom has been assigned a family who have a list of their needs and wants this holiday season.  As a part of the Crestwood community we are asking for your support for these families.
