Open Houses

A key part of deciding which post-secondary institution to go to is finding a good fit. A great way to get more information is to visit a school in person. Visiting an Ontario university is a great way to find out more about the campus, the people and the university environment. Each university offers campus tours and special events throughout the year for high school students. For a full list of campus tours and events please visit:
Queen’s University

Dalhousie University – Open House (Halifax, Nova Scotia)
Dalhousie University will be hosting an Open House on Saturday, October 19, 2019 — their largest event for prospective undergraduate students. During the Open House, you’ll spend the day exploring campus and learning about everything Dal has to offer through a number of different sessions, fairs and tours.
Early Admission
Ready to start your journey to Dal? Submit your application by midnight on October 15, 2019 and receive your admissions decision during Open House, where you’ll be able to visit the Admissions Lounge and chat with an admissions advisor.
St. Francis Xavier (St. FX) – Open House (Antigonish, Nova Scotia)
St. FX will also be hosting an Open House on Saturday, October 19, 2019. This is an incredible opportunity to discover all they have to offer, from incredible faculty and academic programs to amazing student leadership opportunities.
Early Admission  
Apply online by October 16, 2019 and receive a decision on your application when you arrive for the St.FX Open House. Bonus: They’ll waive the application fee! Just skip the payment screen when completing your application. Please take note of these important conditions:

  • Your application must be accompanied by a digital copy of grade 11 transcript AND a list of grade 12 courses, by October 16th. Submit your transcripts by email:
  • Decisions are not available for Nursing, as these applications are reviewed in March.

Study and Go Abroad Fair
The upcoming Study and Go Abroad fair is for everyone interested in looking for undergraduate or post-graduate programs overseas, or in taking a volunteer program, working or taking an internship abroad, considering a gap year or career break, or adventure travel. The event is focused on post-secondary education, hosting top-ranking university and college recruiters from around the world. As well, there are several vocational, work experience and Gap Year/Career Break program providers.
