Ontario University Applications (OUAC)
  • The Guidance team will be completing the following OUAC seminars next week with the grade 12s:
  • Wednesday November 13th (Day 8)

    • McCluskey – Period 3
    • McCluskey – Period 4
  • Thursday November 14th (Day 1)

    • Jull – Period 2
    • Jull – Period 3
    • Jull – Period 5
  • If any grade 12 students do not attend a regular scheduled English class, please let a member of the Guidance team know which section you are able to join for the day
Discover UNB
  • The University of New Brunswick is hosting a ‘Discover UNB Event‘ at the Toronto Marriott City Center Hotel on November 9, 2019 at 1:00 pm
  • The session will feature a presentation which covers information about programs, student life, residence, scholarships, financial aid, and much more
  • UNB representatives will be at the event to answer questions about admissions, scholarships, next steps, deadlines and any other questions students may have
  • Interested grade 12 students can also take advantage of the ADMISSION ON THE SPOT and have their application assessed at the event
  • They ask that students arrive at 12:30 pm and have already applied online (http://unb.ca/apply)
  • Students will need to bring to the event their high school transcript, grade 12 course list, and application fee ($65) if they did not already pay online

University Presentations @ CPC
  • The final university presentations at Crestwood will be taking place next week
  • These visits are an incredible opportunity for students to learn more about what each school offers
  • Although not mandatory, it is very important to attend these sessions and ask questions
  • Please see below for the final three presentations:

    • Carleton University (Tuesday November 12)
    • Brock University (Wednesday November 13)

Volunteer Toronto: Youth Expo

  • On Saturday November 9th, Toronto’s high school students are invited to attend the Youth Expo at Roy Thompson Hall from 1-4pm
  • You will have a chance to chat with over 100 non-profit organizations looking specifically to recruit youth volunteers
  • Their goal is to help make the process fun and easy – there will even be opportunities to sign up for volunteer positions on the spot!
