On Thursday, October 16th all of Crestwood’s Canadian History students travelled downtown to Historic Fort York for a very special field trip. While many people associate the Fort with the war of 1812, it also is a fantastic place to learn about the First World War. Students were able to see, and in some cases hold or wear, artifacts that they had learned about in class during their World War 1 unit. Expert interpreters from the Fort were also able to give students a rich view into the daily lives of front line soldiers. Mr. Masters and Mr. Hawkins would like to thank all of their students for their exemplary behavior, and the staff of the Fort for the fantastic programming.
