Getting to Know, Andrew Gdanski!

My name is Andrew Gdanski, and I’ll be teaching your JK-4AB computers and STEAM this upcoming school year at Crestwood. I am so excited to get to know you and your child throughout the year! I wanted to start by allowing you to learn a little more about me. I graduated from Laurentian University with a degree in Physical and Health Education and a Bachelor of Education. I enjoy staying active in the great outdoors and trying new restaurants! My teaching philosophy is that every child should have a welcoming, nurturing and positive space for learning. Students will be introduced to the tools they need to establish their own learning style as we will be incorporating technology in the classroom. We will definitely leave plenty of room to celebrate the students’ imagination and successes in learning with specialized activities and hands-on experiences.

You might be asking what STEAM is…STEAM stands for science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. I have lots of amazing activities planned that highlight these topics. Some activities include bean plant growth, Dash and Dot robots, and zip line creation to name a few.
