Getting schooled in Science

“Scientists in School” was awesome! We learned a lot about space, including making a comet out of dry ice. We poured the hot water into a bowl, mist would come out and then it would freeze up and create a comet’s surface. It was very cool. We then learned about the Canadarm.  The Canadarm is a device that is used to drop, move and grab objects in space. We made it out of string, tape and two cups. It took a while but eventually our group made four mini Canadarms and lifted a chair. We also learned about the planets and the names of gods who go with them and what they represent. We had a bunch of little contests and we had lots of fun.
