Kicks Off Monday

Dear Crestwood Parents:

With your assistance, Crestwood School’s Community Service Committee is initiating a week-long food drive to assist those in need in the Toronto area. We will be collecting non-perishable food items to contribute to the Second Harvest Food Bank, beginning Monday, February 26th and running until Friday, March 2nd .

The North York Harvest Food Bank provides a variety of food support services throughout northern Toronto and is involved with sixty neighbourhood programs, including hot meal programs and take-home food boxes.

With over 30% of North York Harvest Food Bank users being children, this food drive is especially significant to Crestwood Cares. We want all children in our Toronto community to be able to attend school daily with enough food to be healthy and successful.

Some foods recommendations are:

Canned Tomatoes

Beans

Canned Tuna, Salmon and other seafood

Lentils

Peanut Butter and other spreads

Rice and grains

These small items will make a difference in the lives of many families.

Food donations will be accepted from Monday, February 26th, until Friday, March 2th, 2018.  Please place your contributions in the containers available in either the atrium or the main building.

Thank you for helping Crestwood students with this worthwhile endeavour.

Yours truly,

The Crestwood School Community Service Committee
