The Eco Team has had a lot of fun instituting environmental initiatives for our school. This week, students stuck bird silhouettes onto classroom windows in the primary and junior buildings that are close to trees. Glass windows reflect foliage or sky and look like inviting places for birds to fly. These bird silhouettes will prevent bird strikes by making the window look like a barrier.
Next week, on Thursday, September 29th, the Eco Team will be having a bake sale to raise money for an indoor garden. Cookies will be freshly baked by our Cafeteria and sold outside the Junior recess doors from 11:30 am – 12:30 pm. Each cookie will cost $1. Come on out and support a great environmental initiative!
