Yesterday at our home Glendon gymnasium the U12 Girls basketball team defeated the Ridley College Tigers in a hotly contested battle. In the first quarter the Cougars got a total of eight points and were leading Ridley by four. The second quarter Ridley started to hit some open shots and took the lead by two points. In the third quarter Crestwood caught fire and scored twelve points with some accurate shooting and aggressive play from Maya S., Charli A. and Samantha K. Crestwood played amazing defense throughout the game with players Jillian S., Ryann H., Zoey H., Sophie G., Dana S., Izzy A., Yael H. and Kate H all working very hard to defend their basket. In the final quarter of the game Crestwood held tightly to their lead and managed to drain twelve more points to finish the game with a 36-31 victory. Way to go Crestwood!
