Crestwood Book Drive

Many of us receive new books as holiday gifts. As you’re clearing space for these new titles on your bookshelves, consider donating books you no longer need to our children’s book drive!

In January, Crestwood’s Community Service students will begin collecting books for the Children’s Book Bank. We’re looking for donations of new or gently used books that are suitable for babies and children up to age twelve. They should have a print date of 2007 or later.  Look for our donation bins in the Atrium and in the Main Office foyer in the new year.

The Children’s Book Bank is an organization that provides free books to children in low-income Toronto neighbourhoods. They have a beautiful storefront location at Gerrard and Parliament where teachers may bring their classes and families come to browse; all children may take home a free book when they visit. Crestwood is proud to support this organization that does so much to promote literacy in Toronto.
