CPC – Weekly Attendance Update

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We would like to thank you and your children for your cooperation in another successful positive week in the return to in-person learning.  Your continued cooperation is needed with respect to safety protocols and screening. Please ensure that the following is taking place:

  • Students are bringing proper masks and wearing them at all times (3 ply or KN95 are recommended)

  • Completion of Edusafe is done each morning with special attention to any illness or symptoms

  • Reporting all absences from school and any illness (even if they might be joining online)

  • Following directions and signage at the school to promote safety

There has been a daily review of the reported absences and illnesses from January 31st, 2022 to February 4th, 2022. Below you will find a summary:

These cases only reflect those who have self-reported a new positive COVID-19 test result. Information about affected individuals is protected personal information and can not be shared. Anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19 or is presumed to have COVID-19 along with all household members are required to self-isolate and to only return to school or work after the period of self-isolation of 5 days for fully vaccinated individuals or 10 days for unvaccinated individuals if symptoms have resolved.

Based on new provincial guidance, being in the same classroom or grade cohort is not considered a high-risk contact because preventive and protective measures are in place. Therefore, your child does not need to self-isolate and can continue to attend school if they do not have any symptoms.

Please monitor for symptoms and complete the daily self-assessment before arriving at school using Edusafe. The online assessment provides direction regarding symptoms and isolation requirements. It is important to use the tool every day and follow the guidelines.
