Over the past couple of weeks, Crestwood students have been collecting food for the North York Harvest Food Bank. The food bank challenged us to bring their most in-demand items: oil, canned tomatoes, canned meat, canned beans and rice. And the Crestwood community responded with great generosity! Our goal was 1000 lb of food and while the final tally is not yet in, you can tell by the food in the picture spilling out of the frame of the photograph that we got much more than that. This food drive would not have been possible without the tireless organizational skills of Kaitlyn Balter (Class of ’19), the project manager, and the support from her team of volunteers from YARRD/MeToWe.
