CPC Reigns Victorious Over Trafalgar

Soccer

On Monday the Varsity Girls’ Soccer team traveled to Trafalgar castle where they continued their winning ways.  Right from the start the girls played hard immediately demanding control of the ball.  Ella and Jahnai began by putting Crestwood on the board with goals while the team showed their skill and patience.  In the end Crestwood won with a score of 7-2.  Good luck to the girls as they face their toughest opponent next week when they play Lakefield College school who is also undefeated.

Rugby

Tuesday, the Crestwood U14 Rugby Team hosted Sterling Hall, Greenwood College and both Country Day squads, for a heart-pounding game of 7s Rugby.  Crestwood warmed up with a 7 – 0 win over Sterling hall, followed up with a 3 – 0 win against Country Day’s second squad.   As the afternoon progressed Greenwood was successful against Crestwood winning by one Tri with a score of 1 – 2.  In Crestwood’s final game against Country Day’s first squad, Crestwood was not able to defeat Country Day and lost 0 – 1.  Great performances by everyone on the team!  A special shout out to Adam Pearlman and Philippe Stroganov on their quick speed and impressive scoring.

The Junior Boys’ Rugby team travelled to HTS Tuesday to play three games. The boys came out flat in the first of their back to back games and took a beating from RSGC 26-14, but quickly bounced back and took it to Holy Trinity, crushing this opponent 31-0. The biggest contest of the day came in their last game versus the formidable Greenwood College, in which the boys played a fearless match and stunned their opponent 28-12. Coaches are proud of the huge tackles from Armin Selzner, big runs from Cam Frank, four tries from Jonas Weissland and a massive altogether team effort.  Excellent work Lions!
