Mr. Masters and Mr. Hawkins continue to present “history through the eyes of those that lived it” in their grade 10 history classes, where they have just completed their extensive World War two/Holocaust unit. Every single student in the 6 sections of the course had a chance to see a zoom presentation by a Holocaust survivor, and we are greatly indebted to the Montreal Holocaust Museum and coordinator Eszter Andor for making this possible. Every single student also attended a Sunday session zoom interview with a World War Two veteran, hearing stories from combat veterans from British Columbia all the way to London, England – and many students attended multiple interviews, earning community service hours and extra credit! Please stay tuned to the Crestwood Oral History Project – https://crestwood.on.ca/ ohp/ – for updates.
