Sunshine Therapy Dogs

On Tuesday December 14th, the Sunshine Therapy Dogs will be back at Crestwood from 12:00-1:30pm in the Boardroom by the main entrance of the school. Therapy or “comfort dogs” are a great support for mental health – and you will soon come to learn that their sweet demeanors and unconditional love will help you relax on your lunch break! If you didn’t get a chance to meet our furry friends in November, make sure to stop by next week – we hope to see you there!

Sending Sunshine – Volunteer Card Writer

Are you in need of community service hours and looking for a way to brighten someone’s day? Sending Sunshine is a not-for-profit organization that is trying to reduce the negative effects of social isolation among seniors by providing them with handwritten cards. With the pandemic, the opportunities for volunteering are limited.  With Sending Sunshine students can earn 30 minutes of volunteer time for every card written. If you are interested in participating in this initiative please see Mrs. Appleby or Ms. Somerville in the Guidance office for more information!
