Candy-Gram Valentine’s Day with YAARD

Crestwood’s YARRD (Youth against Racial and Religious Discrimination) held its annual Valentine’s Day Candy-Gram Toonie Grub Day.  All week long students have been hard at work preparing for the event, buying, selling, and making Candy-Grams, which were delivered Wednesday in homeroom.  Proceeds will go to support Native Child, maintaining Crestwood’s commitment to reconciliation.

Crestwood’s Chinese New Year

Last Friday, February 9th the Crestwood Community came together to celebrate the Spring Festival, or Chinese New Year. Students, parents and teachers gathered together to eat, celebrate and welcome the “year of the dog”. Crestwood students participated in UTMUN last weekend, braving the snow and the perils of international diplomacy as they debated and passed resolutions, and staved off or caused grave international conflict!  Congratulations to all the students, with a special mention to Tristan Agensky for his delegate award.

CPC Basketball is Undefeated!

The Kids Lit Quiz Competition

On Monday, Mr. Jull led a group of Grade 7 and 8 students to the Mattamy Athletic Centre at Ryerson University to participate in the Toronto Regional Heat of the Kids Lit Quiz competition.  This is an international contest where teams of elementary-aged students answer questions from the genres of classical and contemporary children’s literature.

Spirit Week 2018

We heard our CPC Lions roar this week!!!  The Athletic Council put together another awesome spirit week again this year.  The week was filled with fun theme days, staff vs student challenges, senior CISAA games, and spirit rallies.  Students could be seen walking the halls in pjs, western gear, rainbow colours in support of pride
