The Annual Holiday Concert has come and gone but all the participating music students should be very pleased and proud of their stellar performance this year.
On the evening of December 5th, music students from Grades 7 to 12 were able to show off their talents through a wide array of musical styles ranging from festive Christmas and Hanukkah songs to movie and cartoon themes, classical works, pop tunes and jazz.
The concert featured some notable soloists. Max Dolman, Alex Martin, Matthew White and Georgia Gardner improvised on “Hard Rock Blues” in Grade 7. The Junior Jazz Band featured Adam Golden, Marina Nevison and Justin Kim. The Senior Jazz Band displayed the talents of Mara Bowman, Thalia Rassias, Amy Cho, Kevin Todd and Maxime Bernier. The Senior concert band played a hauntingly beautiful rendition of “Shenandoah”.
We are looking forward to performing for family and friends again at the Spring Concert and Art Show on May 1st.
