On Friday, we had the pleasure of having Anne Michaels visit at Crestwood for our CPC poetry readings. Anne Michaels is Toronto’s current Poet Laureate. Ms. Michaels is a decorated novelist and poet, a winner of the Orange Prize for Fiction, the Toronto Book Award, a two-time finalist for the Giller Prize, the Griffin Poetry Prize and the list goes on. Her first novel, Fugitive Pieces has been a mainstay on the booklist for Crestwood’s Canadian Literature course for many years.
