On Thursday November 19th, grade 12 students in Mr. Hawkins Challenge and Change in Society class, along with members of the Youth Against Racial and Religious Discrimination club were lucky to be visited (via Zoom) by Mr. Farley Flex. In addition to being a major name in Canadian entertainment, Mr. Flex is an anti-racism educator and workshop leader with years of experience in the field. Important topics related to fighting anti-black racism were covered, and students were given tools and strategies to confront racism in their own lives and communities.
