The U12 hockey team improved their regular season record to 4 wins and 1 loss with a 5-2 victory over the Country Day School Cyclones at Bond Lake Arena. This game had a sluggish start but the action soon picked up and chances were traded at both ends before first year forward Beckett Sennecke pounced on a loose puck and slammed it into the goal. Our superior skaters largely dominated the second and third periods and we were able to build a 4-0 lead on two nice goals by Brad Parker and a single tally by Spencer MacInnis. CDS kept fighting and were able to claw back to 4-2 before Parker sealed his hat trick and the game when MacInnis slid him a generous pass for an empty net goal with a minute to play. Rookie goaltender Josh Paquin was steady throughout the game. He made many difficult saves look easy with solid positioning and quick reflexes. The team heads to Montreal early on Thursday for the 3 day LCC Invitational Tournament.
