On Tuesday September 30th, Ms. Lee’s Grade 11 Environmental Science class participated in the Green Technology Tour hosted by the Toronto Zoo. Students had a rare opportunity to go behind the scenes to see innovative green technologies such as the solar thermal panels at the Zoo Support Centre, and geothermal system to keep the lion-tailed macaques warm throughout the winter. Students will be applying the knowledge from this field trip to other environmental issues that are being discussed in class.
