On Wednesday September 18th, the grade 7s at Crestwood ventured into the far North in search of excitement, courage as well as a little bit of fun. For many, it was a chance to meet new friends as well as experience new adventures in a completely novel and unfamiliar environment.
While at Spirit Point students participated in a variety of different activities. Students learned how to set up a shelter from scratch, build a fire as well as canoe on Hilsberger Lake. They also conquered their fear of heights by completing a ropes course as well hiking along narrow precipices of the Canadian Shield overlooking the expanse of the Northern Ontario Boreal Forest. As if this wasn’t enough, students also completed a series of team-building activities and ropes courses which challenged them both mentally and physically. Overall, a great time was had by all!
