Ms. Calway’s 5C students have been exploring various community service opportunities as of late and have asked if they could do some charity work as a group. The students came to a consensus and decided to bring in their old books to donate to The Children’s Book Bank downtown (www.childrensbookbank.com), a local charity that gives books children from low-income families. They were inspired by the #2forTO initiative – encouraging individuals to find two things they can do at a local level to improve their community.
